What is “forum setup?”

With our forum setup packages, we will provide you with the ability to communicate with everyone in your online community via a message board. Forums are essential in allowing user feedback openly. Forums allow nearly anyone to register and participate actively in your online community.

Forums allow moderators, in which trusted people can be “in charge” of the forums. As well, there is also the ability to add groups. A nice feature of phpBB forums is the allowance of private messages, so that only certain people can read and/or post in certain sections. If your needs are censorship, that can also be a feature that is enabled or disabled based on your preference.

Should you ever need anything done or modified based on future needs, we will do so for a low price.

phpBB: Free v. Hosted

Free-Hosted implies that you do not wish to pay for your own host, or do not already have one. This would be beneficial if you do not need http://www.forum.your-name.com or http://www.your-name.com/forum. Instead, it will be something like http://www.your-name.s4.bizhat.com. However, you will not have to pay for hosting.

Hosted implies that you already have a host. This is used if you are looking for http://www.forum.your-name.com or http://www.your-name.com/forum. In order to use this, you will need to allow Alakai Innovations to have FTP access within your host. This is so we can set up all the appropriate files in order to use phpBB forums.

The packages provided by Alakai Innovations are meant to fit your needs. The hosted packages are ideally a little higher, as they allow for more processes upon setup. Should any of these packages not meet your needs and/or you need further or different assistance, contact us and we can come to a negotiation on services and price. In all of the packages below, we will provide you with a walkthrough on how to operate your new forum.
